There is also a range of individual prizes on offer over the course of the year to Eco-Power Rangers from within halls at BCU. To maximise your chances of winning sign up to become an Eco-Power Ranger here or join the " - Those living in halls who sign up to become an Eco-Power Ranger at the Freshers' Fair will receive a Student Switch Off cotton bag (to help to reduce plastic bag usage) together with some Ben & Jerry's merchandise - including a freezer bag so you can keep your ice cream/wine cool when you're off to a picnic (or given the weather recently, off to a house party!). - In the first fortnight of term we will be giving away an NUS Extra card to 10 of the Eco-Power Rangers - Every week we will be giving out 5 tickets to Toons (Friday nights) to individuals signed up as Eco-Power Rangers. To maximise you chance of winning a ticket, post pictures, comments or links to climate change-related articles on the 'BCU Eco-Power Ranger' Facebook group or send them via e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . - In November 2009 and February 2010 we will be running a competition to win solar-powered mobile phone chargers and water-powered alarm clocks. More details of this competition will be made available nearer the time but to maximise your chances of winning, sign up to become an Eco-Power Ranger. - In November 2009 an Eco-Power Ranger at BCU will win a year's supply of Ben & Jerry's ice cream* - Yum yum! Details to follow. - Every month from Sept 2009 to June 2010 a student in halls at one of the participating Unis will win a year's supply of Ben & Jerry's ice cream* as part of the picture-of-the month competition. * A year's supply of Ben & Jerry's equates to 6 vouchers for 500ml tubs of Ben & Jerry's working on the assumption that the average person who eats Ben & Jerry's has 2 tubs a year and then adding a few on for good measure! |
