Over the first two terms there has been an average of a 9.2% reduction in electricity usage in the halls of residence. The energy saved has prevented over 52 tonnes of CO2 from entering the atmosphere. This is equivalent to the energy needed to:

  • Power a an energy saving light bulb for 412 years
  • Make 3 million cups of tea
  • Fly from London to Manchester 580 times

The latest leaderboard is below. There have been some difficulties with the energy data from Bridges, Whiteknights, Childs, Windsor and St Georges so unfortunately we do not know how they are doing in the overall competition. The best hall at the end of the academic year will receive money towards a party to celebrate their success.
